The BIG BITE hammer mill is 44½" long
and at operating speed the 64 swinging
hammers on 8 heavy duty hammer rods
extend to 26" in diameter. A "hay spike"
improves mill feeding and heavy duty "slug
busters" enhance the hammer's action.

  

A dependable eight belt drive
system routes power from the
tractor's PTO and supplies it to
the mill, turning it at approx. twice
the PTO speed, for smooth feeding
 and high capacity grinding.

 

The "BIG BITE" tub is driven by a
hydraulic motor through a heavy-duty
roller chain. This drive method provides
for a responsive and smooth transmission
of power to the tub.
         
   
Two heavy-duty and high capacity
augers mounted in the belly pan
convey the produce to the discharge
conveyor for high speed transfer
and a leak-free environment.		   The tub rotation is controlled by the
DuraTech electronic governer.
This allows the engine speed to
remain constant as the tub rotation
speed varies, to control the feed rate
to the hammer mill.		   The product is taken away from the
belly pan augers with an 18" wide by
20' long high capacity discharge
conveyor. The conveyor height is
 hydraulically controlled, with a
strong steel linkage system.
